For over 30 years, we at Old Millbank Smokehouse have been perfecting the art of smoking salmon. While we originally used Atlantic Salmon, the past two decades have seen us focus on organically farmed Atlantic Salmon, raised in the pristine waters of Ireland’s west coast.
Organic salmon are fed specially formulated diets made exclusively from organic, natural ingredients, free from genetically modified organisms. Their natural salmon-pink color is achieved using Phaffia, a yeast-based pigment.
Our Irish organic salmon is sustainably grown and cured with sea salt and a touch of organic raw cane sugar before being expertly smoked over oak sawdust fires. Hand-filleted, pin-boned, and carefully trimmed, our smoked salmon is available in sliced or unsliced packs of 1kg.
